Any reason I still have Pending Approval on all of my photographs going back to July of 2008 up to the current stuff ?

Seems like a considerable backlog.

Keep a tight hold of that Mustang pic, there are not many Turtlekneck Mustangs and are hard to find in the wild.......looks like you had a blast.

Lens Hoods cause two thing:

1) It will reduce spurious light from entering your lens, reducing flare
2) It can reduce the reflected light from the object your trying to photograph
